i say tentative just because of my general health concerns, but the tongshu is good for that day, so i feel ok about pre-scheduling with this caveat.

also, it will be two days “after” the psycho-emotional ghost explosion in the US called “election day”. I will do my best to not address it in session, and stick to the nondual animist fundamentals and information of the season, but there may be some triage to be done in terms of energetic and ancestral hygiene.
in my neck of the woods, i am using yijing divination to inform how i am voting, and it feels really good to be able to say that, and to be able to do that, now that i’ve trained using it for a few years. no, i am not going to share any of that because the general context and education is too low. some of the best advice i’ve heard is still mainly materialistic in nature, because that is what and how some harm-reductive humans are biasing their perception in today’s era, including activists and organizers. in nondual animism, we of course look at material conditions and behaviors, but that is not the only co-factors to look at.
i struggle with talking about this to a public that largely needs reframing around almost every word i’m saying.
i will re-share the “best” (in my estimation) argument from an organizing standpoint below, keeping in mind that i am not drinking the Kool-Aid of any cultic groups, and the rampant death-phobic “i am absolutely going to become a ghost when i die” subtext of it all. the ghosts of the republican party may now be obvious to many, but the ghosts of the democratic party are more insidious and far more enchanting to many.
in the end, we all die.
what we do and how we feel on the way to that inevitability will affect others (relational interdependence). there are many “kinds” of humans/ancestors deciding every minute what this world “should really be” and in some regards it all makes for a ideological battle of concepts and feelings. the abstraction of nature into power plays. (many cultivators/adepts see this world as a spiritual training ground, a realm to practice a kind of spiritual martial arts, so there is a built in sadomasochism incarnating here as well as being able to have a unique experience that other realms can’t provide. the price might be too high though.)
almost all of our ancestors are both inheritors and inheritees of ghostly delusion. chances are, you are made up of some ratio of those delusions. how many of them have you interrogated? will you say NO to those who threaten you with exile/harm while being possessed and unaccountable for their own hygiene?
if you are one of the lucky ones who feels that this life is groovy, who has had enough karmic benefits that they can be generous the whole way through, then i ask that you be generous to those of us whose entire lives are haunted, marred and scarred by misfortune, disability and poverty.
all of us are doing the best we can, but some of us have way more leverage than others.

none of this is an excuse to create an identity based on “trauma”.
