The Big Idea
We live in a society based on inequity and competing for attention. This is an anti-sanity design. The current societal design is the material catalyst for mental illness, addiction, disability and trauma.
It creates feelings of “intolerable intolerance”, a self-perpetuating cycle of intense discomfort which overloads and overwhelms the processing capacity of the human body and brain.
This intolerable intolerance exhibits itself in varying forms of addiction and harm, to self and to others. These forms can be on spectrums but that all add up to a society of implicit and explicit threats: threats of exile, poverty, scarcity, abuse, domination and violence.
While it may appear that only some people succumb to these issues, they are present in all humans because humans are interconnected, both to other humans and to the environment which humans have decimated and denigrated. Everyone is being affected by this anti-sanity design, and it is only a matter of luck and time until each human is disabled and possessed by it.
However, thinking and over-thinking about this cycle will not relieve us from the burden of it. Counter-intuitively, this is an aspect of the problem and reinforces it. Philosophical and critical thinking are only as useful as our capacity to embody and move through these relational dynamics from a somatically integrated state.
