The Geng Chen, Angry Dragon Moon: Yang Metal Dragon Moon April 2025 Write-up

Polestar astrology natal information for GENG CHEN - METAL DRAGON (1880, 1940, 2000, 2060) “Angry Dragon”
METAL DRAGONS HAVE AN EGOTISTICAL, POWERFUL AND OUTSPOKEN CHARACTER. DESPITE THEIR EGOTISM, THEY ARE ARTICULATE AND KNOWLEDGEABLE. THEY ARE SO STRONG THAT THEY FEEL ABOVE MORALITY AND THE LAW. THEIR UNEVEN FORTUNE IS DUE TO MANY BROKEN BOUNDARIES AND COMMITMENTS - UNBURNED BRIDGES (KARMA). THEIR VITALLY STRONG CONSTITUTION GIVES THEM ENORMOUS APPETITES (FOOD, SEX, IDEAS). THEIR MEDICAL PROBLEMS GO UNNOTICED, EVENTUALLY BECOMING IRREVERSIBLE MENTAL DISORDERS (AND/OR POSSESSION).

Part 1

The dragon is an earth element transitional moon between seasons. Dragon is the transition from Spring to Summer, from Tiger & Rabbit, to Snake & Horse.

April/Dragon showers bring May/Snake flowers - the dragons lurch up from their frozen slumber under alpine lakes and fly into the sky, laughing and roaring. Their thunder heralds the return of rain, which grows the seeds and food crop.

They are the end of spring, but in many ways essentialize what spring means to us. Increased heat, light, growth and activity.

The young prince has been growing up since February’s Tiger Moon and is now full of piss & vinegar, with big ideas, machismo, but very little real experience. His grandmother (old, big yin/winter) is now dead. This is the time to truly educate yang, lest it become a tyrant in summer and autumn, causing inflammation, damp heat, violence, warfare and wildfire.

Spring winds and rains signal the need for flexibility and freshness, a fresh start.

Freshness, restart, means I DON’T KNOW.

The ming in Qing Ming means sun plus moon (generating and reflecting light), luminous, bright, fate/destiny.

The winds of spring should go in and out easily. You shouldn’t try to be impervious like Superman, but instead flexible, adaptive like Spider-Man. The capacity to sense, ingest, absorb, expel or dispel perniciousness should be easy, quick, and based on your capacity to be with what is, the present moment of your body. Sneeze once and be exorcised. Take a brief nap in the day and be healed. Yawn and be relieved. Simplicity governs complexity. Naturalness need not be earned.

Digging the ground at the wrong time releases sha, that should be left underground. Sha is like “demonic winds” or “underworld ghosts”. This is also related to viruses and bacteria buried in the earth. Check the tongshu if you are going to dig the earth in any way this month (building renovations, burying the dead, tilling the soil).

Prioritize and focus on survival rather than argument. Don’t argue as rebellion, just go directly to survival. This is a big moment in human history and many people have been indoctrinated to self-oppress. One of the ways we do that is to waste time arguing, convincing and wasting qi. Just go direct to the survival appetite.

What is rebellion = refreshment??? It’s based on appetite NOT thinking. True rebellion is a fresh start, like dawn. You can just keep starting over. Especially this month. True rebellion is not morbid, not fixed or rigid. It does not harden into preconceived notions.

Go naked into the moment, without even intuition. Don’t use anything, just go in. Don’t wait for the tools. Trust your way through.

The strange gates = re-trusting your appetite. Learning to re-trust your organs and shen. Not with an infinite parade of intermediaries, bizarre cults, weird ideologies, fantasies, and negativity biases. Just go right where the ball is, play the ball where it is. Don’t overthink, just learn what you already inherently know how to do. Even if you make mistakes, stay close to the ball, stay close in. Stay listening, playing, celebrating. Watch out for your indoctrinated concept and habits which destroy relationality.

Ming said it takes 3-10 days of doing this to recalibrate your natural appetite.

“You are too dynamic to define, therefore you don’t know who you are and you shouldn’t want to.” - Liu Ming
