I want to create with people who ENJOY the decolonial process and who ENJOY the mixed experience, regardless of what color their skin is or who their recent ancestors are.
upon my continual reflection on my time away from portland and back in CA for 6 weeks, i believe that i need to frontload some things based on what i notice culturally, socially and personally.
my entire art and work, which includes facilitation, nonduality, performance, writing, poetry, clown, counseling, ritual, animism… is designed with a Decolonial, MIXED race experience at the center. This means that I am centered on those aspects at all times.
Anyone can join, but if you are anti-decolonization and anti-mixed-race politics, then you should not attend my work, not comment on my work, and seriously just leave and never talk to me again. I have no time for you, to educate you, to debate you, to waste my time with you.
I don’t care what race you are, but if you are not INTO decolonization in all of its forms, which includes decolonizing perception and identity, and you are not INTO being in a MIXED-centered space that ACTIVELY does not center whiteness or supremacy of any kind, then …go away. I don’t need your white liberal moderate nonsense. I don’t need your completely uneducated opinions. I have to deal with your preferences in every aspect of life and it will not corrupt my art, my work or my soul.
moving forward, i am working on how to lead with these terms so that i am not continually having to deal with assumptive biases pretending that my art is to be catered to you.
I want to create with people who ENJOY the decolonial process and who ENJOY the mixed experience, regardless of what color their skin is or who their recent ancestors are.
